If you wish to contact the practice we are open from 08.00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday with receptionists on duty throughout each day to help with any enquiry which you may have. In addition we run late surgeries on a Monday evening which must be pre-booked, as well a small pre-booked surgery on Saturday morning for patients who are unable to see us during the week.

Doctors are available on site almost all day although many are out on visits or at meetings between 12:00 and 14:00. We have an on-call doctor who is always available to deal with urgent problems.

“Doctor First” explained

We operate a system called Doctor First via which all appointments to see the GP are booked following a brief discussion with the doctor to ensure that this is the best course of action.

Please telephone the practice on the day you would like to speak to and/or see the doctor. We aim to deal with all telephone call backs and appointments on the same day of the request if at all possible. Our receptionist will take your contact details and, if you agree, a brief reason why you are calling. This will assist the doctor in prioritising his/her call backs. When the doctor returns your call you can discuss your problem and the best course of action. The doctor will make any relevant appointments which you may need. Please let the receptionist know if you require your call back to take place at a specific time for example to fit in with a tea or lunch break at work. We will do our best to fit in.

Extended Hours

The practice provides appointments outside of “normal” working hours to offer access to those patients who have difficulty attending during those times. Appointments will be made following discussion with the doctor, our Extended Hours sessions are: -

  • Monday 18:30 to 20:.30
  • Saturday 09:00 to 11:00

Please ring reception on 650430 to arrange a GP call back so that an appointment can be made.
